now where to get em put on? i was thinking i could go to a muffler shop and see if they could do it for me. would that be ok?. also, what to paint with?

Just spray pain 'em. That way if they get scratched up you just give them a quick shot and they'll look like new.

I believe Stubbs recommends Hammerlite Spray from Home Depot.

Yeup, that's what Richard had mentioned before.

I actually did mine with two coats of Rust-oleum primer then two coats of Rust-oleum flat black. Paint them before they go on if possible it's a LOT easier! Scheduling wise it made more sense for me to do it after and it was "fun".

hammerite, but close guys . yup that stuff works great, its available in either a smooth or hammered finish.

I used the rust-oleum hammered finish stuff. It came out smoother than the cap texture but it's still damn cool

I would just got to Hobby Lobby and buy all their black sharpies. Then spend a couple weeks coloring them.

reminds me of a time, when me and my neighboor spent 7hrs in a lil 20x20 room, doors windows shut building models, his mom walked in and yelled at us, said it smelled like glue, we couldnt smell it, it smelled like that for hours 8P
