Just got home from the tire store with my Spankin new Toyo Open Country A/T's.....
I shopped endlessly and couldn't bring myself to drop over $600 bucks for tires! These Toyo's faired well in all the testing I read about. The tread pattern is similar to the REVO's and the sidewalls are nice and "boxy" like the REVO's....I guess I'm a REVO wannabe! Best part is.... I got all 4 out the door for under $450!

a buddy has them on his suburban. It sees a lot of highway miles a tows a 16' enclosed motorcycle trailer. You will be very happy with them

Looking good! Please keep us posted with your opinions as you put miles on these tires. I have considered the Toyo AT as well as their MT thinking ahead to when the time comes to replace my BFG AT's. "Problem" is, these BFG AT's just do not wear out!

I have the same color/model 4Runner as you. Two years ago, when I first found yotatech, it was stock like yours. Now, its seen an OME lift, 285/75's, a runningboardectomy, and most recently 16x8 Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys:

The tread also look pretty similar to Nitto's. How much were the Toyos?

I also noticed that the Nittos aren't offered in the D load range which was $30 cheaper per tire than the E load range tires.

TOYO's are damn good tires...I would love to try their MT's.

That's because Nitto, is a subsidiary of Toyo.

Ohio4Runner, the Toyo's are a better tire than the Bridgestones, IMO.

Toyo has been rated #1 in quality for the last 8 years.

I've been running the same tires on my '97 Anthracite Metallic 4Runner for 2 years.

I consider them to be the best truck tire I've ever owned.

i've kind of thought of getting a set of the open country a/ts on my '91 dd. still haven't decided if i want to just get a set of 235s and be done or bump up to 31s and regear my axles as well as put in a posi in the rear. decisions, decisions...

I also did a lot of research, was going to get the Fortera Tripletread's but $700.00 + was too much.

It is funny, I bought the exact same tire as you this morning...

I wonder how they will hook at the track ?

I have a set of Toyo Open Country A/T's on my Dodge pickup. They are great, no road noise at all. I like the aggressive tread pattern for snow, as I live in Ohio also. I considered the Yokahama Geolanders when I purchased the Toyo's. I searched many articles on the web for tire ratings and the Revos, Geolanders and Open Country's were all at the top of the list.
I will be putting a set on my 4Runner when the time comes, heck maybe even sooner! Toyo does offer to replace the tires or refund your money if you aren't satisfied. It must be under 500 miles though.
You got a great price, I paid $550+ for my truck.

Ive got a set of OC A/Ts 265/75R16. I like them. They hold up to my abuse being hard ont he skinny pedal, on and off the road.
