got 295's. body lift, yes or no? poll

put on some 295/70-17's. they fit pretty good. should have got these the first time, but yeah, i learned....

i have a RB/4crawler 1" body lift. should i install? i have not encountered any rubbing on the street so far (had to trim the front bumper a little) i have some mods planned that will make a difference if i do the body lift (sliders).

thoughts or opinons?

thanks,
Kyle

im pretty sure you are going to need it. your springs will sag in time. I am running 285 nittos and I am rubbing on the plastic part of my bumper and rub when I am fully stuffed.

how much suspension lift you have in the front? if you have about 3 inchs you could be fine with some minor trimming but youd rub at mild stuffing.. id do the body lift

I really need a body lift for my 285 mtrs and man they rub when I go down a tight medium bump turn. though I have 2.5 inch spacers in the front and I bet they only give me like 2.2 or 2 inchs of lift probablly. I wish I measured before and after lift to see

well, looks like im doing a body lift...

how imperative is it for me to install the extra body mounts that are not on the 96 model? i wont be able to get them welded on for a week or 2 maybe? if its not needed can i just not put them on? i dont know the reasoning behind adding them...

i havent used the extra mounts, as Ive wanted to add them though. The added security with the body lift is nice.

Id try going w/o the body lift, but, might not work... I cant say anything, but, i think you'll enjoy the lower COG. (Just got back from a wheeling trip where I wish I was in a stock truck, felt like i was gonna flop 40 times)

as far as the extra mounts, i dont know what they do, there is no mount there from the factory, the body doesnt rest on anything other than the other mounts, so i dunno.

The extra mounts are just for the added support that Toyota "forgot" to put there in '96. It's recommended that if your gonnd raise the body, those mounts should be installed.
