good n Cheap!!! paint stripper?

Whats a very good paint stripper for ultra high heat paint? Something I can pick up locally, and most importantly no more then $5-10.

I tired acetone and some paint thinner, it didnt even make a scratch

thanks

you could try citri-strip, its user friendly and available at most hdwr stores. its sort of a gel like substance so it will cling to verticle surfaces, it has its own scrubby pad to help remove the surface coating as it is dissolved away.

give a local auto paint store a call. Usually they have everything and you can buy it in small amounts. If you can't find anything I can get something local for you.

You simply can't use "good", "cheap", and "stripper" in the same sentance and not expect a few snide remarks and giggles.

I might be able to help you out if this didn't have anything to do with paint.

I have used the Jasco stuff before too and had good results check your local hadware store like Lowes or Home Depot they should have it in a spray can and it works well. Sorry can recall the price but its not to bad from what I recall.

Marhyde Aircraft Coating Remover

About $5/can at your local auto parts place

It'll take the paint off anything and your skin...don't breath it either. Took the powder coating off the Can-Back rails like it was butter and you usually have to scrape powder coating, but it was a crappy powder coating job.

I'll second that stuff-I once used it to strip the coating off of aluminum wheels before I painted them. But wear good gloves and cover your mouth and nose!

Why pay the money for sexual frustration, I can just hit up the Victoria Secret catalogue........

All jokes aside, I bought a paint stripper a couple weeks back for about $15, did a good job if you followed the instructions, I don't have the can anymore, wish I could help. Follow the instructions and you'll do ok kid....

As cool as the aircraft coating remover sounded .. the guy at home depot looked at me like I'm crazy and looked like he was about to call homeland security on me cause I was looking to strip an aircraft.

So I got some other paint stripper stuff ... it did the job pretty well, along with a scraper tool ... I think if I sanded it, I could get a smoother finish though.

In anycase thanks again for the help guys!
