Getting New tires on Monday..
Went to the local CostCo today. checking out prices on tires. I noticed many ppl recommend the Michelin LTX M/S as a good Tire..
well the Tire Dude.. Informed me that CostoCo having a sale on Michelins starting on MONDAY.. 60 bucks off instant Rebate at the Register on a set of 4 tires. gave me a coupon as well. looks like he had a big ole stack of them.. anyways heres what he quoted me. \
A set of Michelins LTX M/S
265 70R/16 (Stock Tire Size right?)
total out the door mounted.. with rebate 545..
along with CostCo goodies of lifetime flat repair, Balance and Rotate..
Looks like Im getting tires on monday!! thought I'd let you guys know as well.. Maybe your CostCo is having the sale as well...
I feel this is a GREAT price and look forward to my new shoes.
Question though.. is it possible to do some (noobie-like) offroading in this tire? or would that be entirely outof the question?
ok maybe I can get some sleep now..

Oh they aren't that terrible. My runner came with them as well when I bought it 4 years ago. They did fine on basic off road stuff as long as I was in 4wd. I will say however that they don't hold a candle to my new revos. The bridgstones give me much better grip in every situation I've been in, Rain, snow, dirt trails and light mud (nothing heavy). But the michelins should wear really good on the street.
You'll like them for 95% of what you'll probably do. And that is a pretty good price.
