getting LC coils to sit level with front end.

front

bilstien adjustable 0-2.5" lift shocks
stock '99 coils
diff drop

rear
LC coils
matching bilstein shocks
panhard bracket


my thinking is that using the magical '99 coils that are already an inch taller than any other 4runner combined with the LC coils should sit me about level, as if the LC coils provide 3 inches on a standard 4runner and i throw in the adjustable height shocks on the front which gains me 2.5 + the extra inch from the stock coils puts me at 3.5 lift in the front and 3 in the rear.

again thinking that the lc coils will only gain me 2 inches of my height right now of a stock '99 with the long springs.

is this right guys?
any comments on parts being used?
i can cancel the order but have to do it soon.

the coils are what will give you lift. If you go back with 99's then you will be sitting at stock height. The coils in the rear will raise it higher and give you massive rake.

Have you looked into the OME kits? I am pleased with mine so far and i sit higher than a 99.

You would probably be sitting about level. Those cruiser coils might give you more like 4" though..

correct me if i am wrong here but.... his adjustible shocks wont add any lift to what he already has. The shocks adjust to the coil size. The rear coills will increase his lift in the rear and he will be left with considerable rake.

no your not following me,

the stock 99 coils are already 1 inch taller than any other year of 4runner so what lifted your truck 3 inches will only lift mine 2 from where it sits now.

then the LC coils which would normally add 3 inches to a stock 4runner (non '99) will only add 2 inches to my rear so my reasoning is that by using the
2.5 adjustable shocks and my stock coils that should put my front end 3.5 inches higher than a non-'99 4runner stock counting the extra 1 inch added from these special coils.

you get what i'm saying?

no the adjustable shocks move the bucket for the coils up and down, kinda acting like a spacer but a little better imo.

so that's what i was wondering if the lc coils where more like 4 inches or more like 3...... and was wondering if anyone has ran the '99 coils with and adjustable height shock and lc coils?

His front are not stock shocks. He has aftermarket adjustable coil overs.

My 2nd gen got about 3.5-4" with LC Coils. I got almost 6" total lift the rear was really saggy. Has quite a rake to it I have yet to get my BJ spacers. Lil at a time.

Youll have rake in the rear with LC coils With pretty much any front coil. Unless you do a top plate spacer and 882's. Then youll have issues with your CV's.

i got a diff drop in there to account for that and it's not an adjustable coil over it's just and adjustable shock with a bucket on it that's moved by snap rings.

i really do think that the 1 inch plus the 2.5 gaind from teh shocks will bring me close with out the use of a spacer, i may still need a 1 inch or less one but i hate spacers! and want to try and keep them out of my system

Usually you have to run a lift coil to accompany the lift shock. The coil is what provides the actual lift.

edit: It looks like these will provide some lift. But you will still have some rake as the LC coils will provide >3" of lift.

but combined with the 1 inch coil lift i have already i should sit flush?

So saying you will give all 3rd Gen 4Runners the same 3" of lift is untrue and I feel dis-honest. Rear lift varies with 1.2 and the 7.2 kits. 1.2 will yield between 3.5 and 4.5 depending on what year it is and 7.2 will yield 2" to 3.5" depending on the year.

this should mean right with teh 5100's and the '99 coils i should sit level with a 3 inch lift in the rear... right?

never mind just heard the 5100's suck on 4runners.... can anyone confirm?

What i was saying is that even if you get 2.5" from the shocks and another 1" from the 99 coils, the LC coils give more than 3.5" of lift in the rear.

Realistically you are going to have a rake if you use the LC coils in the rear, unless you buy a 4" bracket style lift, such as Fabtech.

so what do people normally run to sit level with the lc coils? i see stuff varying wildy !

what i have been finding from my searches is either tundra trd coils or 882's..... which one is best for a pretty dam firm ride and no armour.

also take into consideration which LC coil you are using...different year LC coils will provide different amounts of lift... for example SS uses the 95(shortest LC coil) along with the TRD coils and still has a 1 to 1.5 in rake depending on what you have upfront...

With either of those coils, you are going to have some rake. I have the Tundra coils with 3 top out spacers per side (which many people say is 2 too many). I still have a rake due to the LC coils, but I am running a heavier bumper and a winch.

The ride on my truck is a little bit stiff, but I have never ridden in a truck with the OME's
