You are correct. Just thought I'd post this since it is an extreme example of how bad some of these frames can rust.

As far as the TSB's go, I don't know the specifics, but if anyone is concerned about frame rust on their Tacoma, search the internet for details on the TSB.

Also, register your VIN on toyota.com to see if any rust prevention treatments have been performed. You can call the dealer as well to have it inspected.

My 2000 already has a lifetime frame warranty so it is not a big deal.

The problem is the fuel and brake lines and the fuel tank itself.
