gas guage going haywire WTF

i have a 99 runner and the gas guage sometime reads more gas then i have no i have heard of this problem but am not educated on someting with the TSB or something if anyone can enlighten me it would be a big help

Your rig is on the list of one's that have a problem, I waited too long to get the TSB done and they wanted to charge me for it. I just reste my trip odometer after each fill up and keep track of my mileage that way...

Hmmph.

Same problem here. It only happends once in a while, but, its very strange.

Looks like I'll be doing the same reading myself.

You too eh? Mine has acted up from time to time but always reverted back to normal after a day or two. That is, until about 2 weeks ago when it consistently tells me I have over 1/2 tank left even after I have gone ~250 miles (took 17.2 gals to fill that one up )

I have also resorted to reseting and watching the tripmeter, which is something I've already been doing anyways.
