This may be an obvious question, but I would also like a solid answer as I'm getting ready to do the bulk of the 60K tune myself.

The book says .045 inches. If they are dual electode plugs, just look to see that all the plugs are real close to the same and you will be fine. Thats what i did about 1000 miles ago, and no problems, it runs great.

The dual electrode plugs are difficult to gap and should be fine right out of the box. Do check (as was mentioned) so see that they were not damaged in handling BEFORE you install them. I think there have been a few cases where a bent electrode on an installed plug was causing a miss on the engine. A simple visual inspection of all the plugs will quick spot any outliers and save you some serious diagnostic headaches.

Generally you don't need to re-gap them since they are specifically design for your engine...well like someone mentioned, a visual inspection may do the job.

With the twin electrode plugs - how do you check the gap. I have a difficult time getting the usual gapping device to work. What you you guys using to check the proper gap??
