Gabriel Hi-Jackers ordered!
Ordered my new Hi-jackers from AutoZone for $74.95 shipped. I picked up the inflation system on Ebay for $10 Hopefully I'll get the shocks next week and I'll install them nexy Sunday. I'll post in this thread when I get them on.

I was planning to buy them as well. I have a stock 4Runner but it should help me when I am towing my boat and still have soft ride when I have no load in the rear.

I've had them in for two weeks and I really like them. Though I'm not constantly adjusting the pressure, I like knowing that I can. Especially when I load up to go wheeling.
I did not install a valve to make them unlinked. I don't really feel the need too.
For the price, they are great shocks!

Do they feel soft when you are on road.. similar to OEM ? Can you tell if you can keep rear of the 4runner form sagging with the load by adjusting pressure in the shocks, I know this is not what they supposed to do but I still would like to know.

They keep the rear planted on the road. I haven't had stock shocks for a number of years. The Gabriels replaced a pair of Rancho RS5000s. The Gabriels feel slightly firmer but not uncomfortably so.

Blew mine out on the first try offroad...........
Go with airlift bags and 4" spacers in the rear.
A sweet set up and bullet proof..... so far.
IMO........the lift needed to fix a 3rd gen slump is too much for those shocks.
Too many PSI and the extended shock at full drrop just blew out sideways.

And shocks aren't supposed to level a vehicle. They're supposed to control the vehicle and keep the tires planted on the ground. Actually, the name "shock" is a misnomer since they don't absorb shock as much as they dampen it. Without shocks, the back end of the truck would be all over the road.
You are spot on with the airbags, though. That's the best way to level the vehicle in addition to springs.
I only bought the Gabriels to keep my loaded vehicle under control, not to raise the rear.
