Question FSM's-wtf ?

Well i finally recieved my factory sevice manuals (2) for $110 and they are not complete.(90 4runner).Volume 1 has maintaince and engine info.Volume 2 has trans/transfer case info.Is there a third vol.(or forth)with the rest of the info( axles ,body ,suspension) ? What a rip.Honda manuals are about 60 bucks and have everything in them(except ETM). :wtf:

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I don't have FSM's either and saw them online somewhere. (Toyota site I think) But when I saw 2 of 'em and that still didn't strike me as complete, I thought I'd wait. Never did get around to posting about it though. Are we missing something here or is this the official Toyota line? Hondatec, do you find them otherwise useful? ie full specs, torques, clearances etc.

For some reason I seem to remember someone buying them online, then getting ripped off, but I think it was CD's they got that didn't work.

The FSM's on CD, from eBay at least are third party and not printed by Toyota. Usueally these have a lot of information but are hard to search through and are not organized very well.

i got the factory service manuals for my 4Runner (94) and there are only two books. the first on is engine stuff and the second is body/chasis!! i don't know if its different for the 1990's but the two books for mine seem pretty complete. i got them for $40 (slightly used but still complete/no missing pages) from a member on the board. just keep you eyes open in the for sale section

BLKnBRN,yeah they have every detail about the engine, ignition, fuel inj.,transmission, transfer case (both 22re &3vze).Also design spec/service limits/torque specs. But no info on chassis/body .The stupid second vol.even says chassis on the cover but inside its all transmission/transfer case info.
So does anyone have a part # for the manual with the missing info ?
