I have been looking also. I couldn't find the Gadget/Trailcarnage anywhere. The Demello looks nice. I like the way the front/radiator protection is a welded box. The skid rows look good. I swaying toward the BudBuilt.

I saw that one. They use aluminum. I'm not convinced aluminum is the way to go.

Thanks to OP. This will be helpful since I'm trying to decide which to go with my rig. I think I like the Skid Row stuff the best. Looks like good rad protection and countersunk bolts. I also like their tranny and transfer skids too.

Well I have BB and would go that route again. Since my truck isn't lifted all that high I tend to spend a lot of time smacking large rocks with the skids. The BB's are built to handle abuse. I only wish they would make a fuel tank skid.

Also, BB offers two plates, one for the engine and one for the tranny/xfer case. To get the same protection from Skid Row you need to buy 3 plates. I have no experience with the others mentioned although Gadget stuff looks pretty HD too. With the Demello, those mounting bolts are gonna get wrecked real fast and be a pain to remove, not to mention no side stiffener. Unless it is 1/4" steel, that plate will flex more than you want it to.

Great post. that's the info I was looking for. After seeing that I'm want to get the bub built set. Cheaper and appears to offer better protection.

Lots reason why I'd say go Bud Built but the biggest would be belly coverage for the cost. Bbeb asured that these things are SOLID too.

Plus, Bud's a good guy to talk to and work with.

Rasta4x4 has an option.

I found out that the 3rd generation 4Runner’s is the same as the HiLux. I do have skids for the HiLux.

Thats a shame, I love my Trailcarnage belly skid. Much easier rinsing out mud than the Bud built one.
