Front End Work

I have to replace my stiring box, Inner tie rods, stiring link, and IDL arm, Is there any advice you could give me or suggestions on what kind of parts to get, Has anyone had to replace there stiring box and put in a used one? I have a 91 sr5

Thats a lot of worn out front end parts. I know that the idler arm can be rebuilt with a couple of bushings and new seals. As for the rest I think you are better getting stuff that is new or at least rebuilt with a warranty.

I just replaced my tie rod ends.... what a PITA. I had a seperator, and had to hit it with huge maul. The hammer wasn't big enough! Then I couldn't get the ends out of the sleeve. So I bought 2 new ones, only to find out that mine are 3 inches longer than stock. So I had to have a shop seperate them for me. Took soaking them overnight in penetrating oil, and heating them up with a torch to get them apart. But my steering is sooo much better now. $108 for inner and outer tie rod ends from CSK.
