Front end swap question

Hi all,
I'm wanting to do a front end swap from my 92 pickup to a 4runner. Will these parts interchange ok or will I have to mod something. I want the grill, headlights, side lights and bumper/valance. Will I have to use the fenders or can I keep mine? Will I have to use parts from a 92 or can I use newer parts?
I don't know much about toyotas, this is my first one so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It's been talked about on here before but I can't find any threads right now. The consensus has been that you have to swap out the front support to allow you to bolt the new bracketry up. So you need a new front support, brackets, grill, bumper, headlights, and signals. Most people loose interest when they find out it's not as easy as swaping the grill and lights, I did.

Hi Waterboy, thanks for your reply. I kind of figured it wouldn't be that simple......but I was hoping. Dumb question, what is the front support you speak of? Will my fenders work with it? I have the Jan. 05 issue of Mini Truckin' and it shows the side lights to be different from mine, {but this is a 95 model} so I don't know if a 92 model is the same as a 92 4runner.
I guess this will be a project way down the line.
Thanks

The front support is the radiator support. Which is attached to inner fender wells. So to swap it out you have to cut the old one off and weld the new one on.
The front ends are different between 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive trucks (fenders, lights, ect) that's probably what you saw in your magazine. I don't think there was a difference between the 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive 4runners though.
If you do get around to doing this take some pictures cause I've always want to see what it'd look like.

In the January 05 issue of Mini Truckin' page 50 features a 1995 toyota standard cab with a "4runner headlight / grille and front bumper conversion / 4x4 fenders". It's called Severed Toy.
It'll probably be a while before I do that if it's that much work as this is my daily driver. I was just hoping to make the swap on a weekend sometime soon.

Exclamation 1989 2x2 front end.....

Hi, back a few years ago I picked up a 1989 pickup that had hit a deer for $500! The truck only had 64,000 miles on it but the guy that sold it to me had no clue what he was doing. He tried to pull the core support out with a come along! Anyway I had a new core support welded in for a 1989 at a local body shop. Then I was going to buy a new aftermarket front end from the local truck parts shop, they had a 1993 4runner in the lot that had been rear ended and sold me the entire front end for $200. I just unbolted the entire nose and bolted it right onto my 89. The core support had all of the necessary holes and square punch outs in it already for the other front end. I don’t remember if I had to cut any thing but I think it was a rather strait forward bolt on job, but then an 89 and a 93 share a lot of the same parts.. I think. I had to put in a new water pump, radiator and fan so I had like $1300 in the truck and sold it for $3500! Too bad a buddy bought it and had a tire chain beat the bed to death

Thanks for the reply Ilovemountains, I was hoping someone would reply who has actually done the swap. I would like to use the 94 model year frontend. Mine isn't damaged except for the valance and a small dent in the bumper. A friend just bought a 94 4runner yesterday so I'm going to be looking at it side by side and taking some measurements to see if it will work.
Has anyone else done this sway?
