Front Differential Breather Hose

OK--not a new question.......but a pain the arse situation.

Noticed that i was leaking gear oil from the front differential. Did a little investigating and found that a little PITA rubber hose that connects the differential elbow (metal) to the metal hose that goes to the diff breather was off--sheets- Tried like an SOB to put it back on but i just couldnt do it. any ever had this happen? Suggestions, tips. Friggin Help

I just installed my front diff, and had to reconnect that breather line. You can access it from the front side with the skid removed. Get some long angled needle nose pliers if you need. Looks worse than it is.

If you need to you can drop the diff down a bit by removing the two front mounting bolts on the two arms. This will get you a bit more clearance to get your hand up in there. Torque the bolts to 100ft-lb when you're done.

thanks--tried all that and still couldnt get my hands in there. I guess i will just remove the engine and connect it LOL. No--but i think raising it might be an option or just removing the metal hose altogether and just going with a rubber hose.

I just used 5/16 fuel line hose on mine. Ran it up by the fuse/breaker box behind the battery,
