I noticed tonight that only one of the corner lights on the front of my '97 Limited 4Runner lights up when I cut on the lights. I am talking about the lights on the outside of the headlamps to be more specific. On my room mate's '98 SR5, neither lights up when I cut on the headlamps so I am confused. Do we have dead bulbs/wiring problems or are they not supposed come on at all when the lights are on? Thanks!

to answer your question, those are marker or parking lights, they should come on the first click on the stalk, between off and headlights. when you turn your headlights on, those should remain on. when you turn on signals or flashers, the bumpers lights should flash, and the markers remain solid (unless someone has modified your wiring)

And they take 194 bulbs. Remove the one phillips head screw, and pop them out (pull toward you)

Great replies, they are much appreciated. I thought I might have had a short because I put a Roger Brown wiring harness on a while back and I thought it was fishy that neither of my room mate's parking lights came on. I guess I'll have to tell him to gets some bulbs too.
