Front Bumper

I was sondering if its possible to put the 96 - 98 front bumper on the 99 4runners? I have a 99 sr5 4runner withe the chrome bumper.. thanks for the help

You could but it doesn't bolt right up. You would need to fab something or at least the body shop would.

I'm thinking about installing a TJM T-17 cause I don't think you could put a '96-'98 bumper on.

What's the deal with people having 99+ 4runners wanting older model bumpers?
You'd think it was more the other way around.

It's because the bumpers on the '99+ stick out too far, looks like a nose that is too big for the face.

I've hard some people call it the Jay Leno Syndrome.

If you do that, you will definitely want to add this front spoiler.

I think the newer bumpers look great... The old ones just looks flat unless you get that lip thing on it.

It's probably because you guys don't have the limited/sport flares and it's not color matched... The new bumpers compliment the flares really well.

Go post a wtt thread, I bet you can do an even swap for an older bumper very quick...
