Front Brakes on 88 Pick up

My dad has an 88 Pick up Xtra Cab, he plans on doing the brakes shortly and he wants to know if he needs and specialty tools to remove them? Just to be on the safe side, we don't really want to tear it apart and then find out we need some sort of tool. Any insight would be great.

No, basic hand tools will get you by> A big pair of channel locks or a "c" clamp to push the piston back in, some metric sockets and a ratchet, they're very easy, you can do them in an hour. the only problem that you might have is with the slide pins, sometimes they get rusty and sieze up, you can buy these at an auto store cheap or reuse the ones you have and slap some anti-sieze on them and you'll be good to go!
Take care
