Free Two Thumbwheels For Roofrack
Hey Guys,
I lost one of the thumbwheels for my roofrack, and I ordered a new one from Toyota, and they come in a set of 4. I'm going to keep a spare, but I might as well give the other 2 to someone else that might need them.
I doubt it's something anyone ever looses, (except for me) but if you have, let me know, and I'll mail them to you.

On the roof rack you have two larger bars that span across, which you would lay your canoe, lumber etc. across. You can adjust where they sit on the roof by loosing the thumbwheels(that's what toyota calls them) moving the crossbar, and then tightening them.
I made the mistake of loosing on too much, and it came out of the insert that it threads into. In order to reattach it, at least on that side, I needed to take the rack partly apart. Before I had time to do that, I succeeded in loosing the thumbwheel, and the rest is history... Especially because the roofrack will drive you nuts when it vibrates up and down on the roof.
