Ford overhead console in toyota???

Has anybody done this before. Will it work? I want to put a ford f150 or any of the consoles that read temp and compass on my taco. I have searched and found nothing. How would I wire this up? Thanks

Go on the all data site and look at wire scematics for the desired rigs overhead console design. Find out where all of the wiring goes then get the unit from a scrap yard and fab it up in your yota. sounds easy enough in my mind but im sure it will be a rear pita.

People are doing that mod all the time in the Rangers. I was going to install it in my 94 Ranger, but decided to sell it instead.

The install would be easy, power, ground, switch, and temp sensor.

Go for it and let me know how it works out. I have thought of doing this too!

I looked at pulling the overhead console out of a dodge/chrysler minivan. They have all the cubby holes for sunglasses etc, and have the time. I think the new ones may have compass as well but not sure. They looked like they would fit rather nice and possibly line up with the sun visors correctley. Just a thought anyways.
