Foglight install help
I've bought Hella Micro De. Can I use the factory setup?
- Should I use the harness that came with it?
- I wished there was an elaborate install direction that I can use.
- I would like to have connected with the parking lights.
- install seems pretty easy, except I don't know where the 'blue' wire goes;
it says:
a. route the single blue wire to the low beam power (+) where is this?
there was a tech write up, but it was vague and not all that helpful.

I just checked out the bumper hole and it doesn't fit. I don't know how it supposed to be mounted on the bumper. Mounting doesn't make any sense to me at all.

The blue wire is the "remote" wire that tells the lights when to turn on. If you want them on with your parking lights, put that blue wire to the + wire on the parking light. I have no clue how they mount, sorry I can't help you there!

i bought these from performance products about a year ago. the install was pretty straight forward (and i am not good with electrical stuff). i used the factory wiring that is already on your 4runner and then i did a mod with the fuse box so that i can run my fog lights with the parking lights.

^ thanks for the input. I've finished installing the light and it was hell. It wasn't even a close fit in the factory foglight hole with no place for the bracket. I ended up using the skid plate screw the mount them in the lower front. I fabricated to fit in the factory holes originally, which was close to impossible, but guess what? the lights cannot be oriented vertically, cuz the light beam will be screw up. Anyways, it looks good and maybe I'll take some pics tomorrow.. not an interesting thread, I see, though..
