I've got a layer of Dynamat covering the entire floor, then I put thin foam padding down in the foot wells, then covered it with automotive carpet.
If I had to do it again, I'd use something besides Dynamat. It's too expensive.
I'd probably get some asphalt covering and carpet over that. Probably have the same effect.
I like it alot. I noticed a decent difference in road noise from before and after.
I need to cover the firewall and my doors next.

Does a good job of noise reduction.
Need another roll (some time and some warmer weather) to finish it off.
I still might see what Home Depot has to offer for asphalt coverings though.

check the roofing section
hey krash!
home depot should have a self adhesive roofing product that might work. its used as a water barrier along ridgelines, around vents and along the edges to help prevent ice dams from forming and water seeping through the plywood joints. hope this helps.
