Flares gone black, woo hoo!
Killing time until my goodies come in and putting some spare materials to use.
With this last paycheck I went nuts, OME struts, 4 trim packers, Pro comp rear shocks and a 4rcrawler 2" body lift kit. oh, can't forget the quickfist clamp to mount my fire extinguisher hahaha.
anyways, took the advice of a few of you on here and got rid of the chrome trim in the fender flares, definitely one of the smartest things i could have done! didn't want to bother with parking lot after pics so after work today i found this little gravel hill to get some flex and ended up getting the back right tire off the ground so I thought i'd share.
i can't wait until everything comes in and i get it on! hopefully i'll have it done before the 311 concert on the 19th, i'd love to take it tailgating

Dang, nice flex shots! That rear end is stuffed, looks like fun!
I too took the advice and painted mine, those chrome one's just don't do it for a black truck.

I think hes talking about the fender trim(the thin black piece), not neccessarily a flair. The stock ones have a strip of chrome through the center. My truck has them and i want to take them off but the paint underneath isnt lookin so hot. I never though of painting them until i saw this.

Yea I'm pretty sure thats what he's talking about, looks good Weston! I did that on my old black one and my gold one I have now, I just don't like the chrome look.
P.S. Where and when did you get that dent right behind the parking light, or has it always been there?

sorry, the sr5 'trim'. technically they're flares but i admit they're puny. erroneous now, they're off of my truck alltogether.
and that's been there, even before i bought it. i couldn't complain though it was only had a broken ac compressor and that dent, kbb said 9,600 and my mom's friend sold it to me for 3 cash
and why was this thread revived, the revival post makes no sense to me
