Finally lifted my 2000

I finally lifted my 2000 4Runner. I choose to go with Kings on the front with OME's on the back from Xtreme Off-Road. (Thanks!) I really like the height and the ride. Washed it and took a few photos of it complete. 4:88 gears on order from Randy's R&P. I was the original owner of the '89 pickup that I solid axled in 1999, see below. My 4Runner has a little ways to go to compete with it. You can see my wifes '99 - which has always sat about 2" higher than mine.

Here you go.

Thanks guys. Here is another photo of Orion, my dog. This is pre-digital camera. Poor photo. I had an '85 4runner that I was fixing up and my little partner is always there. Here he is keeping the engine parts organized for me.

IMO you have the best color 4Runner. Is your wife's bumper black? If so, is that OEM?

What size tire are you running? The truck looks sweet, I really wish we would have gotten a silver 4Runner rather than a black one. I love black too, but it's high maintenance like my wife. I just installed bilsteins and OME 891's/906's. Someday I'd like to go with the coilovers though.

Yeah what size rim and tire are you running? I assume those wheels are 17's right? I was thinking about going to 17's but the price for tires were rediculous and I wasn't sure what size would fit up under the truck. By the way your rig looks incredible

They are 17's. The tires are BFG's MT 285/70/17. With the facotry Sequia wheel. It would be nice if the wheel had a bit smaller offset. The knobs on the side of the tire rubbed the a-arm once lifted. I cut and filled a little over 1/4 inch of the arm. Now I have a fingers width between the arm and the tre at full droop. I can post some pictures if you like.

The bumper on the green 4Runner is green. It does have a hitch that may make it look black.

Have you looked into the Inland Trucks upper control arms? They provide more space between the tire and the control arm, plus they account for more downtravel and help out CV and balljoint angles. They used to be made by another company called ATS, which are the ones I have. Check my webshots account (My Runner link at the bottom) for pics. Also if you want to send me some pics that would be awesome. Just PM me.

Hey,

SGirt, I remember your truck from about 3-4 years ago when I was stationed in Colorado, didn't you take that picture in Ft Collins? If that was it I was at the same location that day, I remember you posting the pic's, that pic was either on Rockcrawler.com or 4x4wire.com or one of the old school sites wasn't it. I could swear I saw your truck in 00 or 01 in Ft Collins, tell me I'm not loosing my mind, I remember easily due to the fact that that was the cleanest most capable rig I had seen on the trail. I drove an 86 4Runner with a SAS that was blue with a black top at the time. Did you ever run the Independence trail network in Penrose Colorado? That could've been the place too, I was there all the time.

Hit me back, its bothering me now, man I've been on forums to dang long man, I remember vehicle's from years past now

Nice looking Runner and those Sequoia wheels do look good.

My new Runner is identical to your wife's sans the Running boards and I was wondering if you have any current pics of your Runner parked next to your wife's for a ride height comparison?
