Finally found new rims & tires
So I bought some new rims and tires tonight. Craigslist of course. I have been looking for a second set of 17" rims for awhile. They have maybe 100 miles on them. Only bad thing is the guy I bought them from used the valve stems for his new set.
Haven't even gotten them out of the truck yet.
Tires are Bridgestone Dueler H/T 684II P265/65R17. Definately a step down from my current set: Goodyear Wrangler MT/P LT275/70R17. I've been driving quite a few miles just commuting to/from work so hopefully these will improve my mileage. Wore down the MTs in less than 40k miles. I am going to miss the aggressive look they had.
Now all I need to do is figure out what kind of tires I want to mount on my Enkeis. I've been wanting BFG Mud Terrains but they are $$$. Maybe for my birthday

Nice snag on the 4runner rims/tires! I don't know why the guy went through all the trouble of getting the old valve stems out instead of just buying new ones (they are like $2-3 each for Pete sakes and a major PITA to get out while the tire is still mounted). Anyway those should definately help your gas mileage on the highway but those Dueler HT's wear out fairly quick so don't expect them to go any crazy mileage before replacement.

In any case it will be easy to throw a few new stems in and rebalance them.

What a steal! Those are really nice wheels. There was a guy selling 16" wheels in my area from his Tacoma for only $100 for all 4! I didn't have the money at the time and I'm still flogging myself over that. I should've begged and borrowed it for that price. Congrats, just save your clams for some more aggressive tires and you'll be set.
