few suspension Qs (take it easy on me, I'm new lol)

hey guys, first thanks for all of the efforts you all put into the site, after months of searching, I finally found myself a 4runner that will be delivered this weekend. its a 91 and cant wait to start the mods!

I'm looking for some opinions on what I am looking to do. the truck will 99% be on the street, but will not hesitate to take it in the mud if I can! I am thinking of going with 32-33" tires and not looking to spend tons of money

I want to raise the back up a bit, and thru searching on the site, found that the Downey 1.5 HD springs would do the trick. Should I also go with some shocks back there, thinking that the stocks would wear out fast?

For the front, I read that you can just crank up the torsion bars to lift it a bit. How much does this really accomplish?

Finally, Aisin manual hubs were recommended by a few people as good practice if I plan on lifting the front up using the torsion bar method. True/False?

Any other help is appreciated!

thanks peeps

Hubs are a good idea.

Ball Joint spacers are another option for lifting the front.

Since you are doing so much street driving, you might appreciate getting some ugly steel rims and putting mudders on those. Then you can leave your street tires which will be much quieter, longer lasting, and better mpg intact for road use.

I'd strongly suggest gearing the diffs. What motor/tranny are you getting?
