Fender Flare costs

AAAAARRRGGG! backing into my parking spot today, I clipped the side column, and scraped up my poor fender flare! :pat: I have the factory Toyota ones that are like the ones on Limiteds. Anyone know how much these things cost to replace? Or if I could even buff it out? It's just on the back side of the flare, and a little of the mud guard. GRRRR!! are these easy to replace by myself?

man that puts a damper on my day

I have buffed scratches out of my Bushwacker flares, but they are not painted, just solid black plastic. Buffs out really nice too, try it before replacing it for sure. With Bushwacker flares you would be having to buy all 4, cause they don't sell them individually, but I don't know about Toyota flares.

I was wondering the cost of them also. I scuffed mine up pretty hardcore when I hit that tree.

Like all factory parts I'm sure they're rediculous.

IN:

I recall several posts where people were talking about swapping out their SR5 or thin metal fender trim to the Limited-style flares. I think it was near the +$500 range. I looked into buying another set of SR5 (black plastic) style fender flares and it was around the high $300 range.

I even called a few internet retailers and they said they only sold the kit and not each part individually. Maybe you'll have better luck.

If I were you, take it to a body shop and get an estimate and compare to buying the entire kit.

i scraped up one of my fender flares not too long ago, and shops ranged from $150-$300 in estimates on fixing it. so you should check out a few shops, maybe you can get a good price. mine really wasn't that bad, so i just put on some touch up paint myself.

Funny you should ask. I've done a lot of looking lately for aftermarket flares for my 4runner. The factory ones, limited style, are over $1,000.00 for the complete set. Try these links for more info:

www.bushwacker.com
www.aztrucks.com

I hope this helps.
