Fell in love with the 4Runner again.

Well, as my post count indicates, I don't post much here, although I occasionally browse this forum. Old timers will remember me from the outdoorwire days, tho.

Anyway, the reason I don't post is that I have a BMW and am very involved on www.bimmerforums.com. Still, I thought I'd share this with you guys.

My Z3 is my daily driver during summer. However, me and my family went on vacation recently so we had to take the 4Runner. For two weeks, every errand was done in the trusty 4Runner. It was parked in front of our lodge all the time.

Well, I fell in love with my 4runner again.

It now has a little over 180 000 kms (111 000 miles), which is a LOT up here with our harsh winter and everything.

Well, during the 8-hour drive to our destination, I was amazed that after all these miles, all those off road excursions, my truck, loaded with 2 kids, luggage up to the rear headrests, 4 bikes on the hitch, and a bag of additional luggage on the roof, is still rattle free.

It still runs like new. I've been in domestic cars that have been on the road for barely one year, and they squeak and rattle from every possible place. My Toyota is like a rock. And it still looks good too.

I toyed with the idea of getting a new Tacoma when they came out, but after this trip, my mind is set : if I can, I'll keep this one forever.

Hear, hear! Mine's the same. Runs like a top, no sqeaks or rattles...I do love my trucks! Both of them equally, of course I wouldn't want one to get jealous...

I did, it's SO badass!!!

I haven't forgotten my buddies from the old days. The BMW forum just sucked me right in, and since the Z3 is so moddable, it gets addictive.

Good to see you Hugo, and that your rig is trouble free.

My sister and brother in-law have a 3rd gen and live in WA. state like I do.
They often visit their oldest son back in Georgia, and instead of flying they take the 4Runner.
Trouble free for them, and they like crusing in it.

Im kindof the same way.
W/ gas getting so high, I decided to sell my Runner.
I didnt really get any interest, so I just kept it, and now I wonder why I ever wanted to sell it. I love that thing.

Now I want to get rid of the Honda.

I don't think your post count is ramping as sharply as it once did.

Maybe Corey almost got to the point where there is nothing to say, that's why he says nothing.

I know you put in a lot of hours at work, when I get home I often just sit down to lazy to do anything.

Whats up Hugo? Long time no see! If I remember, weren't you even on Vmag there at the end(lets see how many remember that)? I sold my black 91 4Runner long ago, but I'm loving life in my Land Cruisers now. They are the only thing better than a 4Runner.
