factory tacoma bucket seats in an 87 4runner?

so i plan on replacing my front bucket seats with some kind of aftermarket seat. the stock seats just aren't very comfortable! so putting stock tacoma seats up front has crossed my mind, i'm just wondering if it will work/fit.

if this is a bad idea, any other recommendations on good seats to buy? i'm not looking for expensive racing seats or anything, just something comfy and maybe with some kind of durable fabric that can take abuse from mud, dirt, and the sun. but comfort is the priority! what do they make seat covers for?

thanks you guys rule!

I put 95 4runner sr5 buckets in my 88 standard cab. You will have to enlarge the bolt holes on the seats, but they are great. To bad they don't make them anymore, they have the 7 way adjustments including side adjustments that you can make the seatback wrap around you..

I have these seats factory in my 94 sr5 pickup and in my opinion they are better than anything they make now.

I have '88 buckets in my '88 truck (but it came with a bench seat). They are worn out, beat up, and disgusting. I have '99 Taco seats collecting dust in my garage because I've been too lazy to make the necessary modifications so they fit. It isn't rocket science, but there is definitely some work involved with getting Taco seats to fit in an '84-'88 style truck/4Runner.
