Lightbulb Factory Alarm Questions (2000 4Runner Limited)

I havent gotten around to playing with the alarm too much. One thing I have noticed about it is the "bleep bleep" sound it makes when you lock doors. Is there anyway I can change this sound?

I know not too many of you approve of the interior lighting I put in(see my avatar) but is there a way I can make it so these lights flash with the alarm without loosing my ability to turn them on and off?

Sonic, Yes you can make the lights flash when you arm your alarm, You would have to find the wire for the parking lights and add a diode inline to the alarm arm wire, if this is something you dont know how to do, dont try it as you can mess up your electrical system.... Any custom car audio shop would do this for you for really cheap. Bleep bleep - no you cannt change that sound..

Yeah, I can do it. Just wasnt sure where to wire into.

The bleep bleep is kinda wussy... Its like going to a bar and trying to act tuff with a straw in your beer.

anyway, thanks a lot!

Exclamation

Your reading my mind... STOP IT!

lol

I found one for 350 with remote start and a pager.
Its giving me the idea to shave the door handles and add door poppers so I can remotely open my doors as well.

Smile

The one I looked at had one of those remote pager things that tell you which part of you car get broken into(not like it matters, only thing that dose is that your car gets broken into period.)

But cool, thanks, I'm looking into it.
I'm also looking into those cheesey alarms that tell u to back away from the car. A friend of mine has one that sounds like somone screaming. I thought that might get more attention than a siren.
