Is this factory or aftermarket?
It's funny how things can be overlooked. I've had my 4Runner for over a year now. Last week it was broken in to and they smashed the driver's window. While it was getting replaced, I noticed the other 5 side windows have an etched pinstripe. The rear door windows have the pinstripe and "Limited" etched in. I guess I never really took notice of it. Does anyone know if this was a factory option or if this is possibly something aftermarket?
Nothing was stolen, btw. It appears that the douchebag tripped my alarm by flipping the overhead map light on. After all that effort of breaking the window and climbing in through the window hole to avoid the alarm, he apparently needed more light to pull the dash apart forgetting about the alarm. All the while the little red security light is flashing right in his face.

Well geez, someone must have spent a lot of money to make their windows look pretty. Now it just creates more of a headache for me to get it back to the way it was.

Sounds like some bling there.
However, car dealers often have the glass VIN etched so in case the car gets stolen, the vehicle and all its related parts have a higher change of being recovered. Thiefs tend to pass over them as well if they are VIN etched, since it makes selling the parts harder.
