Anyone have a fabtech lift kit yet? and or pictures to someone with one?

Check the TTORA National Forums. I know of at least 1 guy there who has installed the Fabtech 6" kit.

Will this work for the 4Runner? I know the rear suspension components obviously would't work (no leaf springs), but would the bracketry for the front end fit?

My understanding of the third gen 4Runner and Tacoma is though they share major componentry (i.e. engine, trans, dif) the front IFS shares only a few parts. Unlike past gen pick-ups and 4Runners, Toyota went some lengths to differentiate the Tacoma and third gen 'Runners (sheetmetal, interior appointments, and suspension setup). The 'Runner IFS is slightly biased towards on-road comfort. So no, I don't believe Fabtech's, Trailmaster or any other liftkits out there would be compatible w/ your 'Runners.

p.s. I would also like to see real world 6-inch Fabtech rigged Tacoma!

Not true. I believe just about every lift out there for Tacos has been fitted to a 4Runner as well. There are only slight differences at best. The biggest problem I see is that you are polishing a turd. With that kind of lift you will want to run 35s. While I believe the Toyota IFS to be one of the stronger IFS setups out there, it is still not up to running 35s. I mean people regularly break it with 33s.

Your Runner looks sweet! I tried to find the leaf spring conversion on All Pro's site, but everything was geared towards older 4Runners and Trucks. Which kit of theirs did you use for your rear? Also, could you send me a pm and let me know about how much $ I would be realistically looking at to do a similar rear suspension conversion? Did you get your extended drive shafts from All Pro as well? I'd like to run 35's on my truck, but it seems that every rear suspension set up I've seen for the 4Runner has major problems if you lift more than 3 inches. Thanks for your help.

Here on Maui there are numerous 3rd gen runners with the 6in Trailmaster Tacoma kit. It fits perfect, although like mentioned before, the rear is a bit tricky. From what I was told by Maui Offroad {the installer} is that they use a Ford Bronco coil spring in the rear and that it is really stiff. I don`t know if it is the fullsize or Bronco II spring. Threse 4Runners look mean coming down the road with 33x12.5 tires on 16x10 rims, I`m satisfied with my kit so I can`t see myself spending high dollar to go that route.

I was looking at getting their 3" lift kit but at $1500 installed and only being able to get up to 2" of that lift on a 2001 Tacoma I didn't think it was worth it.

That 6" kit looks like it doeas all kinds of stuff to bypass those limitations on the 4x cv joints. I wonder what it runs? Got to be expensive!

Your halfway there, do what you did in the rear, TO THE FRONT! I dont understand why you would waste any more money on an IFS lift. That 6" kit wont do JACK SQUAT for performance. If you are set on IFS, get a long travel like the Chaos kit or something.
