extending my drive line in my 96 taco
i just got a 6 inch lift for my 96 taco and need to extend my driveline, is this something i can do at home or is something i have to bring to a shop, i got a welder and the works in my shop and was wondering if i could save myself sum money and do it myself????

But seriously. You can extend it if your real carefull about making it straight. But then you need to have it balanced. If your even remotely unsure then id just have a drivline shop do it. Most people will do their front drivelines them selves because its a low speed thing that doesn't require balancing. But the rear needs to be tities.

You generally need to pick up the proper size tube as much longer as you need and cut out the existing tube and weld in the new section. Then get it straightened and balanced to make it run smooth.
Another option for up to 1.5" longer is a drive shaft spacer:
