Well I've search the Board with no luck, so here is yet another extended brake line question.

Anyone have a link or contact for DOT approved extended SS brake lines for a 2001 4Runner? I've contacted AOR4x4 and was told their brake line kits are not DOT approved. Central 4wd kits are for 86-95 4Runners: http://www.central4wd.com/store/itemdetail.asp?ID=2369

I dont know where Gadget got them from, but he has some for the front. Wheelersoffraod has the rears though. From what I understand. when you lift you only gotta do the rear. But I've seen braided lines for the Tacomas over 4wheel autoparts.

Marlin also has them, but it doesn't say what they fit (I just got some for my 93 from them though)

Anyone running the 2.5" 4Runner extended brake lines from Wheeler's Off-Road on a 2001/2002 3rd gen? The website says it's for 95.5-2000 4Runners, but any reason why they wouldn't work on a 2002? Front and Rear. It sure seems this'll work, but here's me "playing it safe" by asking first.

I'm gonna be runnning a bit over 2.5" lift in the rear, but this should be better than the stock brake line.

I have the All-pro braided lines. You can buy the rear seperately if you want though. They are real long

Interestingly enough, toyota has used the same fittings since 1979 for rear brake lines. (Or so I was told by All-Pro).

It just screws on with a 10mm wrench.

I've got those lines in my 4Runner.

Charles, why not go w/ Steve's SS brake lines. His go up to 3" of lift. You'd have to confirm on the 01/02 b/c it also says to '00. It's pretty much the same price as wheelers and you're supporting a yotatecher.

nah, i better do it before. i want to take care of the brake situation before i go out there - new lines, and tundra stuff. i'll take care of it later this week. werd.
