Expedition backup gear/equipment?

I'm going on a long trip, 6000 miles or more. I have a backup alternator, spare tire, will get some spare hoses and belts. Just replaced timing belt/water pump 3000 ago, new brakes and lines all around, new upper ball joint. What else would be important to bring?

Good point. I did have a leak in the rear axle. I didnt change the seal or gasket but just did the breather mod and the seepage stopped. Will have extra seals/orings on hand thanks

seriously though, some heavy wire, like coat hangers. you can use them to fasten hoses, secure the exhaust pipe, hold your radiator up, etc.

U-Joint is short hand for Universal Joint. I can't think of anything else that it could possibly be called.

Are you going that far that you will have no chance of getting parts ???

Good luck and have a good time.!!!

Going any place that travel in the desert is involved in that case at least one case of air filter elements maybe 2

If the above is true you need more than one spare tire and one of those plug kits. All the driving will be on dirt or poorly maintained roads

Do you have onboard air for when you need to air tires back up from having aired them down.

I am sure you all ready have the best tools along with jacks a winch comealong etc

Enough water and food to wait for rescue because Mr Murphy will for sure break something you don`t have never fails.

This list can just keep going you don`t say hot or cold dry or wet which can make a big difference
