Exhaust Tip question

Would a rounded tip make any noise difference than an exhaust tip that just goes straight out?
Rounded tips round inward, which looks like it creates a mini-cyclone before the exhaust fumes get out (Though, this is in a split second)
Thanks

I'm in an attempt right now to replace my FlowMaster 40series to something with more chambers (FlowMaster 40 Series I believe has 2 chambers; more chambers in the muffler the quieter)

Please give me some advice, thanks!

Happy 4th!

Is the 18" Magnaflow noticeably quieter than the FlowMaster 40series?
If so, then that's my route.
Thanks Elton.

well a flowmaster 40 is 14'' long and its chambered so its gonna be louder i have about 3yrs on my magnaflow its a little loud when u want it but not so loud its annoying if loud is not your thing then a 24'' magnaflow would be the route to go

I just installed (or had installed) an 18" magnaflow. I have to say I think its too loud for me. Are there options to silence it a bit without replacing it?

why not go to an exhuast shop and ask them? If they are a good shop they should be able to tell you whats what. Dan fast mufflers in bellevue washington helped me with matching an exhuast system to my truck.

That depends. There is some out there that will quiet you down just a little bit, and by little bit i mean a small, small amount. But the fact is, they do exist. Kind of like a mini cherry bomb. There is a small amount of exhaust packing in them. I will run into work later and take a picture of one.
