Exhaust Question for 2nd Gen 4Runner

hello all. i have a 1990 4Runner and have killed the exhaust, the muffler has a 3 inch hole and the tail pipe is rusting away. needless to say, i am looking for a new exhaust. any ideas on whats good? i am looking for a bolt on kit that is louder and deeper than the stock system. any help?

ps- have any of you heard of/ or had expierence with a company called Bosal? i found a muffler/ tailpipe for 97 bucks, the cheepest so far, but dont know what it will do to the tone. also, if any one has a 2nd gen exhaust that they are looking to get rid of, hit me up at jrod12486@adelphia.net

Never heard of Bosal. I have a Borla stainless cat-back setup that I like quite a bit. It's more than $97. But, I'll never have to replace it again. I've had it on for at least 6 or 7 years now.

Click "$52 exhaust" in my sig. That will give you a good indication of what the different exhausts sound like.

Personally, I would go with a custom 2.25" cat back into a Magnaflow muffler. Remember the longer the muffler is, the more reduced the sound.

Also remember that v6's don't produce as nice and deep of a sound as a v8. If you go too 'freeflow' it will sound kind of rice like.

I had a Custom catback exhaust bent they used 2.5 tubing then spliced in to my existing exhaust into a turbo muffler.
Here's a few pics.

It only cost me $233.50 at Burlington Muffler & Brake.
Sounds pretty good as well.
