Question Exhaust Question

Ok guys another question for ya! Im replacing my cat with a new one the old one was all clogged up and wondering if anyone has installed a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. I was thinking of installing one right behind the cat and then putting a turn down right before the rear axle. Anyone know how this would sound? Thinking of 2.25" in and out. I have the Dynomax on my Tacoma but its a 2.7 and sounds great just wondered what it would sound like on the 3.0

Click on "exhaust movies" in my sig. That is a link to Corey's exhaust page. I think someone has a Dynomax on there.

If you use a free flow cat and the dynomax, it will be quite a bit louder than stock. If you exit the exhaust underneith the vehicle, it will resonate even louder. Maybe thats what you want. Also, the exhaust fumes will collect under the vehicle when its at a stand still or moving real slow. Makes for a fumey ride.

I have a Dynomax Super Turbo on my 90 3.0 V6. I have model # 17747, which is a 2-1/4" IN/OUT 20" case model. It's very quiet, but has a nice deep tone to it.

You can check out this thread too if you're interested in flow rates of mufflers and cats. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...&highlight=CFM

I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but I haven't quite figured out where I want the exhaust to exit either. I'm not looking for a loud sound at all, but I want to remove the exhuast tubing from under the rear bumper side panel to maximize big rock departure angles.
