Did they carburate the trucks longer than the 4runners? I could have sworn that you could get a carb 22r until 1994, mostly international but still. My 87 truck has a carb.

Greetings,
Thanks for the generation line-up. I was gonna ask someone for it, but I felt kinda dumb.
I saw a 2003-2004 4Runner yesterday and noticed they have grown in size. I was thinking bout buying one. Do they go as well as the older ones?

i don't think they ever carburated 4runners. I think they were always efi. I have a base 4runner and it has alot more options than a base truck. It has tilt wheel, a/c and its efi.

thought so........is it safe to say (without hurting anyones feelings) to stay away from the 3.0? If I read this correct...the 3.0 was not made after 1995? Guess the dumbass trying to sell his 2000 did noty even know it was a 3.4L. I might have been interested then! HA HA!!!!

the 3.0 has been proven to be pretty reliable, but i hear it's a beast to work on, and has little in the way of performance upgrades.

i'd rather have something powered by the 2.7 4 cylinder than the 3.0 v6, same amount of power and a superior engine
