Engine Oil Cooler question
Who has one and are they easy to install? Do I need to get an oil filter relocation kit if I purchase an engine oil cooler kit? Thanks

You dont have to get a relocation kit, but you usually do have to get some sort of adapter plate for the cooler (which requires filter removal and may cause future filter removals to be a lilttle more difficult) to run the lines to and from. They are very easy to install and are very worth the small price, IMO, if you plan to keep your car/truck a long while.
Filter relocation kits are very cheap (~$40) and if you ever plan to do one, this would be the time to do it. They can make things a lot easier on you and you can even upgrade filters (using larger male) to somethign that will hold a bit more oil (even though these 3.4's are oil hogs anyway, more is better =) )

I put a cool colar on the oil filter. Few minutes of engine warm up and the colar is very hot.. Cannot hurt i figure. and about 25 dollars. Anything to take heat from the engine or oil is good.
