ECT Switch: Maybe use for something else?
Ok, I did a little bit of searching and really didn't find anything.
sorry for the crappy quality
I got one of these on the console that I'm modifying to go in my truck. What I'm curious about is could I use this with a relay or something to turn on and off accessories. And if anyone knows how they wire up or how I could test with a volt meter. I don't think it would be to hard to figure out with only 4 prongs coming out the back.

See if this helps:

To wire the switch to control a relay, put power to the switch, and when the switch is activated send it to the switch terminal of the relay. That should energize the relay and allow it to feed power to the accessories you have connected to it. If you'd like more info just let me or anyone else know, and I'll see if I can dig up a FAQ on relay wiring.

I could probably find a Faq but if you know of one off hand it would help. I guess I'm going to have to wait till I get my truck back to test the switch, all my tools are in the truck at the paint shop.
