On eBay: Dealer Repair Manuals. Quality?

I see "the same manuals used by the dealer" on eBay all the time. Usually the go around $80-100 (50 if you're lucky) for the 96 Runner. Can anyone vouch for the quality of these? I really hate to give Chilton any money. While I am thinking about it...some people have apparently burned CDs of the manuals, that go for $20. Has anyone dared try?

Yes, people have dared to try, but the CD's are usually of poor quality and contain some glitches. The genuine factory service manual is well worth it. Chilton sucks. So does Haynes. Better than nothing yes, but far inferior to the FSM's.

Believe it or not - you can get the real deal OEM manuals from the stealership - for less than on E-Bay.
