E-Locker won't engage

Well I noticed the other day while out wheeling that my e-locker won't engage. I drop her down in 4-LOW and hit the button, but it just sits there flashing. I have let it sit there for as long as 15 minutes and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? I'm thinking about just taking her to the dealership.......

Thanks

I had the same problem on my 98, until I started moving. I know it sounds like a dumb question, but have you started driving in 4LO while attempting to engage it?

Sometimes I would have to turn and then go straight again before it would lock in.

I've had the same problem. It locks when it feels like locking. I find that if you can't get it to lock, turn the locker off. Move forward a little and stop. Then turn the locker on again, wait about 3 - 5 seconds. If it doesn't lock, inch forward a little and stop. Wait 3 - 5 again. If it doesn't lock, inch forward a little and stop. Wait 3 - 5 again. Wash, rinse & repeat. It will lock eventually.

I have to drive 10- 15 feet before mine locks.
I have also bypassed the computer so I can lock it in 2h or 4 h.

get the rear up in the air via a floor jack . lock it and spin the free tire uptill it locks if not then you got problems.
