to me that looks dumb and weird... but if i needed to haul something heavy it would be nice to use a taco

If I had to guess I would say Dana 70, which could have been from a duallie to begin with, just something larger, like a chevy.
The real thing to look at is the "multi-stage" lift blocks, hahaha..."ERRR...I will just stack up tube steel until it is high enough..duuuhhhh..."
