DRL problem solved, new issue with culprit.
Is there anyone here from Texas or any of the Gulf States Region of car stealerships? The problem with my wifes DRL's was not actually the DRL's. It was actually a problem with the main box/component of the Securikey+5 alarm system installed prior to our purchase of the vehicle. Something in the alarm was keeping just the headlight relay tripped keeping the lights on. This 4Runner has the Securikey+5 (unique to the Gulf States Region) that has the zone protection, remote start, as well as the usual lock and unlock feature, and rear window roll down. We disconnected the problem component, got the headlights working properly again, but now we are not able to lock the drivers door with the old remotes (original remote for the truck, not the Securikey 5 button remote). Any alarm/electronics people out there know if there is any other components to the alarm/security system on these vehicles that could be played with to get the locks to work properly?
Thanks in adavance.

Not a guru and I would need the diagrams for both the truck and the +5 system to even begin....and it can always still come out as not possible due to the encoding on the chip....
