Question Driving range dispaly gone haywire - help?

I had 336 miles to go on my tank and just topped up. It now reads 328 after I put in $10.00 worth! All the stations here in WV are running out of gas and there is a run. My $10.00 didn't get me much at $3.09 per gallon! Maybe I overfilled it? Anyone have any idea why the computer acted like this? I usually read about 400-410 after a fill up. I am getting about 20 mpg (computer) and 18.4 mpg (Actual) and 18.4 comes out to a lot more than 289! I have actually driven right at 400 miles to see if I could. It has always worked well until today. Usually when you drive a little bit it readjusts but today I drove home and it stayed lower than when I put in more gas. Oh, well maybe it will change when I go to work in the morning. At least I have the gas gauge to fall back on. Is there a way to reset the thing so it will take another reading or is this a “take it to the dealer” thing? Thanks!

Jim

you guys still have it better than up here, some places were charging upwards of 1.10$/litre.
