Driving lights vs fog lights Hella 500

Im looking at the hella 500's, not too familiar with what the difference in beam would look like, I will need the brighter of the two as far as the beam on the street since my headlights are dimmed by blackouts, any recommendations which way to go?

thanks

The driving lamps will shine a lot further than fogs.
I use mine on dark roads with no traffic, and it's a HUGE difference.

Here's your specs.
That is also the place to order your clear covers from if you want them.

I run the covers on both of my sets.

Thanks guys, the driving lights look like the way to go, just might have to aim em down a bit, I also like the idea of the covers to keep em from getting busted.

I have the fogs with shields and they work great in those conditions but I'd like a set of driving lights also for the clear dark nights when I'm up in the mountains since the fogs more show off the sides of the road than long distance. I redoing my lower valance and want both fogs and driving lights so I have the best of both worlds.
