drive by wire....what to look for??

drive by wire....what to look for??

Looking for donor 3.4 still to squeeze into a 92 excab and have a few to look at today but they are a bit newer than what I have looked at in the past and approaching the Drive by wire era.

When I go to look at the motors what are the characteristics that indicate a for sure "drive by wire" setup. In other words, when I see ?????, I turn and walk away.

Are there cables, wire plugs, etc. on the throttle body that denote drive by wire. any pictures would be awesome!! Dont want to drop a $1000 on something that isnt going to work.

I didn't think the 5VZ-FE ever came with drive-by-wire throttle control. Infact, this is the first occasion I've ever heard someone mention it.

if you come across a 2010 kia 2.4l it's drive by wire , walk away !
