Question Down loading pictures

I want to down load a new picture to this site so that it will come up with my name...but everyone I try to enter is too big.....I see all these really cool photo's and don't have a clue how you all down loaded them....any hints?

You mean the avatar image? They must be less than 140×140 pixels and 10KB in size. If it is larger than that, there are various graphics programs out there that will enable you to resize it. Irfanview is a decent (and free) one that you can download.

If you mean a regular picture, many sites have size limits for those as well although I have yet to find a limit here. For those, I usually just upload the pic to my site than link to it here and no worry about limits.
