Double Din to Din stereo install??

Double Din to Din stereo install??
I'm getting ready to get a new stereo for my truck...I'm torn between the Sony Xplod CDX-GT920U and the new Eclipse 3200. Any comparisons of the two from someone a little more electronically inclined would be greatly appreciated!!
Anyhow, I will need a kit to switch my Double Din to a Single Din with the extra space being used for storage. Like a slot underneath my stereo.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which kit I should purchase??
Thanks!!

i think you just need to find a single din truck at a wrecking yard, they have the brackets for a single din radio and the little compartment for storage

I'm big on the mechanical faceplates....that's why I like the Sony. Plus it's at Wally World for $190.00, which is about 50 bucks off.
Are there any other good stereos around 200 bucks that have mechanical faces?
I know the Eclipse does but it's more expensive isn't it?
Oh...and this head unit is only going to power my speakers. I'm not putting a system in or anything. Just in case that makes a difference.
Thanks!

All headunits will give you nearly the same wattage output, and I say go with what you like, fuhk what is popular.

I think Kenwood gives you the best bang for the buck these days for sure. I have 2 HUs and they have worked great as compared to some higher priced brandds - that I am sure work great - but at a higher price.
